Casablanca is the largest & big city in Morocco, with population of almost 5 million, and it's the eighth-largest in the Arab world.
Casablanca has Morocco's chief port and one of the largest economic & financial centres in Africa. Located on Morocco's Atlantic coast, Casablanca came to prominence as one of the most important cities of the Berber Barghawata kingdom in the mid-8th century.
In the 14th century, it was used as a key port by the Merinids; and in the 15th century, it became known as a safe harbour for a pirate. Casablanca came under Portuguese control shortly afterward in 1755, the town was largely destroyed by an earthquake. It was rebuilt by Sultan Mohammed Ben Abdallah and was colonized in the 20th century by the French.

Continue the visit to the United Nations Square and the superb Mohammed V Square. Then join the central market to admire the royal palace of the city.
Visit the colourful Harbors district and discover the Mahkama, the city's court. Visit the city's two religious' epicentres, Notre-Dame Cathedral in Lourdes and the famous Hassan II Mosque.
End the ride in the residential area of Anfa and shop for souvenirs in the brand-new shopping centre that faces the sea, in the evening we will be back to Marrakech around 20:00. The excursion from Marrakech to Ouarzazate starts as early as possible (it is recommended) to enjoy the maximum of the day.
